Converting PDF documents to JPG images is useful when you need to embed document pages in presentations, share them on social media, or use them in contexts where image files are required. ClearUtil's PDF to JPG converter renders each page of your PDF as a high-quality JPG image directly in your browser, with no server uploads required.
This tool uses Mozilla's PDF.js library — the same rendering engine used in Firefox — to parse your PDF and draw each page onto an HTML canvas element. The canvas content is then exported as a JPG image at your chosen quality level. This approach ensures accurate rendering of text, vector graphics, and embedded images while maintaining color fidelity.
The quality slider lets you choose a value between 1 and 100 for the JPG compression. A value of 90 (the default) provides an excellent balance between image quality and file size. Lower values produce smaller files with more visible compression artifacts, while higher values preserve more detail at the cost of larger files. For most uses, 80 to 95 is the sweet spot.
Your PDF file is processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server. The conversion uses your device's processing power, so your documents remain completely private. This makes the tool safe for sensitive business documents, personal records, and any files you would not want leaving your control.
